THE CHALLENGE
TSB was looking to reach a new, young audience and knew that TikTok would be the way forward. They challenged us to help them launch their TikTok channel to help win over the hearts and minds of new audiences and future proof the business. They wanted to see where in the vast financial market they could make the most impact and what this younger generation needs from them.
THE SOLUTION
We started with looking at where the gap in the market was and realized this generation trusts the advice they get from social media, however 1 in 7 videos from financial influencers is misleading. This is where we saw TSB stepping in with a goal of building money confidence in this younger generation. We broke all our content down into two pillars, Educate and Reassure and set out to make learning about finances, fun, easy, and not so scary.
THE OUTCOME
As of October 2023 we helped grow their account to 2492 followers, amassing 100.6k likes with a whopping .55% engagement rate (2nd highest average in the category). We accomplished this with just 24 posts which is roughly 1/week since April 2023. A few of our standouts were our Word on the Street series, which showcased regular people, similar to our target audience, chatting about money in a way that so many people can relate to.
